How To Transfer or Change Hosting Ownership (CHO)

This guide explains how to transfer or change the ownership of a hosting product in your Crazy Domains account. It walks you through the steps required to update the registrant details and submit a Change of Hosting Ownership (CHO) request.

About Hosting Ownership

Every product — including Hosting products — connected with an account has a specific Registrant Contact, which is the legal product owner. This may be an individual or a business entity that has the right to use and manage the product.

How To Transfer or Change Hosting Ownership

Follow these steps to submit a Change of Hosting Ownership request:

Log in to your Account Manager.
Find your hosting product and click Manage.
Go to the Administration tab.
On the Administration page, hover over the Registrant Contact section.
Click Change Owner next to the registrant contact option.
Scroll down and download the Change of Hosting Ownership form.
Fill out, print, and sign the form.
Contact our Customer Support Team to receive instructions on how to submit your completed form. When prompted on the IVR, press 3.

NOTE. You can transfer web hosting ownership to another person or company. However, this process requires a transfer application fee. The exact fee amount is specified in the Product Transfer of Ownership Form.
