How To Delegate My Products and Domains to Another Account
Assigning the product or domain contacts—Registrant, Admin, Tech, and Billing—to another account allows you to delegate access and control of a specific service without sharing your account password or confidential information.
This article explains how to delegate product and domain access to another Crazy Domains account without sharing login credentials.
Delegate Domains from Member-A to Member-B
First, get the Customer ID of the account (Member-B) the you want to access your domain, then follow these steps:
- Go to your Domain Manager. (Member-A).
- On the Domain Manager, click on Administration tab.
- Hover your mouse over the contact you want to delegate, then click Assign New.
- Select the Existing Customer option, then enter the Customer ID or Username of Member-B.
- Click Send Assign Request.
NOTE. A confirmation link will be sent to the email address of the selected ID. If the request is not confirmed or rejected within 48 hours link will be expired.
Delegate Products from Member-A to Member-B
First, get the Customer ID of the account (Member-B) that you want to access your product, then follow these steps:
- Log in to your Crazy Domains Account. (Member-A).
- Find the product that you want to manage and click Manage.
- On the product page, click on the Administration section.
- Hover your mouse over the contact you want to delegate, then click Assign New.
- Select the Existing Customer option, then enter the Customer ID or Username of Member-B.
- Click Send Assign Request.
NOTE. A confirmation link will be sent to the email address of the selected ID. If the request is not confirmed or rejected within 48 hours link will be expired.
Delegate a Product or Domain to someone without an account
If you want to delegate your product or domain to another person, that person needs to have a Crazy Domains account (Member-B). To delegate your products and domain, and create the Member-B at the same time, do the following steps:
- In the Administration section of the product or domain that you want to manage, hover your mouse over the contact that you want to delegate, then click Assign New.
- Select the New Customer option, then fill out the contact details of the new account you want to create (Member-B).
- Click Create Contact.
NOTE. A confirmation link will be sent to the email address of the selected ID. If the request is not confirmed or rejected within 48 hours link will be expired.The new Crazy Domains account has now been created (Member-B). You can provide its login details to the person you want to manage it.
What happens next?
Once the request is confirmed, the delegated domain or product will appear in Member‑B’s account, and they’ll be able to manage it without needing your login details.
