CD Website Builder | Managing Image Files
This article explains how to upload and manage image files in CD Website Builder. Since the platform does not provide direct access to website files, this guide focuses on how to upload and use images within your website while building and editing your pages.
How file management works in CD Website Builder
CD Website Builder does not provide access to your website’s file system (such as HTML, CSS, or server files). Instead, you can upload and manage image files directly within the builder when adding or editing content on your pages.
Uploaded images are stored within the builder and can be reused across your website.
Uploading images to your website
You can upload images while editing your website through image elements or sections.
- Open your Website Builder Editor.
- On the Side Menu, click on the + icon. This will open the ADD ELEMENT panel.
- Locate the Image element.
- Drag and drop the Image element to the desired section of your website.
- Click on the Image element on your site. This will open the file manager.
- Click on the UPLOAD tab.
- Click on the DRAG & DROP canvas. This opens your computer file explorer.
- Select the image from your computer files, then click Open.
- Once uploaded, click on the SELECT button to add the uploaded image to your website.
Reusing uploaded images
After uploading an image, it is saved in your Files library within the builder.
You can select previously uploaded images without uploading them again. This helps maintain consistency across your website.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Click on the existing image on your page. An image tool will appear at the top of the image element.
- Click on the Image (Replace) icon to open the file manager.
- Click on the MY PHOTOS tab. You will see all your uploaded photos here.
- Click on the image that you want to use.
- Click SELECT.
Make sure to publish the changes after.
